Schedules

A schedule starts a task group at a set time and stops it later. Use one for a drop you know is coming, so your tasks run whether you’re at the PC or not.

The Schedules window on a Thursday morning. The red line on the strip is now.

Click Schedules in the Tasks page header to open it. You can also right-click a task group and choose Schedules.

  • Next 7 days draws every run for the coming week. Each bar is one run, and the highlighted row is the schedule you have open.
  • The list on the left shows each schedule’s group, when it repeats, and when it next runs. Use the switch on a schedule to turn it on or off without deleting it.
  • The editor on the right is where you change the selected schedule. The strip updates as you type, before you save.
  1. Click New schedule.

  2. Give it a Name and pick the Task group it starts.

  3. Pick how it repeats:

    Repeat Then pick
    Once The day it runs
Daily Nothing, it runs every day
Weekly The days it runs. Tick Mon to Fri and the list calls it “Weekdays”.
  4. Type the Start time in 24-hour format, such as 07:55.

  5. Pick how it stops:

    Stop What it does Type
Never Runs until you stop it Nothing
At Stops at a time of day A time, such as 12:00
After Stops after a set length A length, such as 45m, 2h or 2h 30m

The line underneath confirms it, for example “Runs 1h, ending 10:55.”

  6. Check Next runs, then click Create schedule.

A stop time earlier than the start rolls over to the next day. Start at 23:00 and stop at 02:00, and the run lasts 3 hours.

When a run starts, the schedule starts every idle task in the group. Two switches change how:

  • Stagger starts spaces the tasks a few seconds apart instead of starting them all at once. You can set 1 to 600 seconds.
  • Stop after checkouts ends the run once that many orders have gone through. Every other task the run started is stopped.

Eight tasks, 3 seconds apart, with a limit of 2 checkouts. The second checkout stops everything still running.

Tasks the schedule stops show why: “Stopped: Checkout limit reached”, or “Stopped: Schedule ended” when the stop time arrives.

Each example shows the schedule filled in, and its runs on the week strip underneath.

A store releases every Friday at 10:00. Start the tasks 5 minutes early so they’re loaded and waiting, and stop them an hour later so they don’t run all day.

A store tends to restock on weekday mornings. Run your tasks from just before opening until mid-morning, Monday to Friday.

Put a restock monitor and its checkout tasks in one group. The schedule starts only the monitor. The monitor starts the checkout tasks if stock lands while you sleep.

A run with no stop keeps going until you stop the tasks. When the next run opens on Sunday, it takes over from Saturday’s.

  • Times use your PC’s clock.
  • A run lasts 24 hours at most.
  • Monitors start first. Checkout tasks under a monitor are left for the monitor to start on restock.
  • Disabled tasks are skipped.
  • Tasks that were already running are left alone. The schedule neither starts nor stops them.
  • When a run ends, it stops every task that started during it. That includes tasks a monitor started.
  • The checkout limit counts orders from this run only.
  • Turning a schedule off mid-run doesn’t stop its tasks. They keep running until you stop them.
  • Changing the stop time applies to the run in progress.
