Generic Shopify

Generic Shopify works on any store built on Shopify. You tell the task which store, and it works out the rest.

Option What to enter
Store base URL The store’s home page, such as https://your-shopify-store.com.
Storefront password Only for stores locked behind a password page. Leave it empty otherwise.
Payment Card pays with the profile’s card. Manual stops at the store’s payment page so you can pay yourself.
Sizes The sizes to buy. Leave it on Any size to take whatever’s in stock.

With Manual payment, the task’s status turns green and reads “Reserved: click to finish payment”. Click it to finish paying.

Mode What it does
Fast Checks out as soon as the product is in stock.
Safe The same as Fast, but also watches the store’s checkpoint page every few seconds and solves it when it goes live.
Fast Preload Prepares the checkout before the product is in stock, so the purchase goes through quicker when it lands.
Safe Preload Preload with the checkpoint watch from Safe.

Use Safe when the store is known to switch on its checkpoint for big releases.

Instead of a link, a Shopify task can find the product by words in its title. Use it when you know a product is coming but not its link.

  1. In the New task window, switch the product field to Keyword.

  2. Type a query, or click Builder… to put one together.

  3. The task searches the store’s catalogue and buys the first match.

You write It matches
"funky" AND "tshirt" Titles with both words
"funky" OR "retro" Titles with either word
"tshirt" NOT "kids" Titles with tshirt but not kids
"tshirt" -kids The same as NOT kids
kid* kid, kids, kidswear and so on
"black hoodie" The exact phrase

The Keyword builder does the same with buttons. Choose Match all (AND) or Match any (OR), add words to Include and Exclude, and check Preview before you click Use this query.

While it searches, the status reads “Searching catalog” followed by your query. In Fast and Safe, the task keeps searching at your monitor delay until something matches. In the Preload modes it searches the whole catalogue once and stops with “Can’t preload: not found” if nothing matches.
