Updates

The bot updates itself. It hears about a new version as soon as we publish it, and the Updates card on Home shows where things stand.

The card says Meaning
You are on the latest version Nothing to do. The line below shows your version and update channel.
Version 7.1.0 is available A new version is ready to download.
Checking for updates… The bot is asking our server right now.
Could not check for updates The licence server couldn’t be reached. The bot tries again by itself.

Click Check now to ask straight away.

Install an update

Section titled “Install an update”

  1. Click Update on the Home card, or in the window that pops up when a version is ready.

  2. Wait for the download to finish.

  3. Click Restart now. The bot closes, swaps in the new version and opens again.

Click Later to put it off. If you close the window mid-download, the download pauses and carries on from where it stopped next time. If it fails, click Try again.
